R295,00 | 750mL

Named in honour of Philippe Foucher, one of the ancestral figures behind the La Luandière story, this Syrah is a wine of structure, dignity, and old-world restraint. Grown on the slopes of the Klein Drakenstein Mountains, it reflects warm Paarl days, cooling mountain breezes, and the granite-rooted depth of the farm.

Philippe Foucher is crafted for longevity. Whole-cluster fermentation brings perfume, spice, and fine-boned structure, while French oak maturation lends polish and quiet power. It is a Syrah made not for immediate sweetness or softness, but for unfolding — gaining savoury complexity, earthy depth and aromatic grace with time in the bottle.

Tasting Note

Deep ruby with a dark, youthful core. Aromas of blackberry, mulberry, violet, cracked black pepper, and dried herbs rise from the glass, followed by subtle notes of smoked meat, olive tapenade, and spice. The palate is concentrated yet refined, with dark fruit, firm tannins, and a savoury mineral line. The finish is long, lifted, and quietly commanding.
